If the laptop burns your knees even when working in Word and games and is completely disconnected, then it’s time to clean up.
To fully clean, the laptop will have to be partially or completely dismantled. Most manufacturers refuse warranty service when traces of disassembly are detected. So if the warranty hasn’t expired, act at your own risk.

Prepare tools and materials
Here’s what you need:
- The back drive;
- The mediator;
- A cylinder of compressed air;
- Thermal shepherd;
- Dry napkins – optional;
- Colored bookmark stickers – if desired.
Find instructions for disassembling your laptop.
Almost all laptops have the same design. But some models have differences that are better known. So before you start, find a YouTube video of your computer disassembling and read it carefully.
To not make a mistake in the assembly, I often take photos during the showdown and check with them.
Remove the battery
Turn off the computer. Slide the head of the head and unplug the battery. This will save the components from static electricity. Besides, in almost all laptops, the battery prevents you from removing the lid and hides the screws of the attachment.
In some models, the non-carrying battery is located under the lid. In this case, you need to disconnect the battery from the motherboard after removing the back.
Pull out ram
Unscrew the screws on the lid of the quick access compartment and remove it. Gently bend the pressed whiskers on the RAM straps and pull the raised boards out of the corrosion.
Get a hard drive
Unscrew the fastening screws of the hard disc, which is nearby. Slide the disk to the side to disconnect from the corrosion, remove it, and set it aside.
Remove optical drive
Try to pull out the drive if it is. If it doesn’t work out, look for the screws next to it and turn them away.
Remove the back cover.
Unscrew all the screws on the back. Mark the place with colored stickers with screws of different lengths. Or put screws on the lid and take a photo.
Check that there is no fastener under the rubber legs. Carefully examine the entire back of the laptop, the niche of the drive, and the side faces. Make sure all the screws are twisted.
Cover with a mediator or plastic card in several places around the perimeter of the case and remove it.
Demont, the front panel
If the cooler and radiator on your laptop are under the back cover, immediately move on to the next step. If not, you’ll have to remove the front panel to get to the cooling system.
Put the keyer on the perimeter of the keyboard and gently lift it. Please pick up the mediator to snap the plumes going to it, unbuckle them and remove the keyboard.
Turn away all the screws from below and undo the rest of the plumes.
Put the front panel with a mediator and gently remove it.
Remove and clean the cooler
.Please pick up the sling on the power wire and pull it out. Unscrew the screws and remove the cooler.
Brush the dust off the blades and wipe them with a napkin.
Clean the radiator
With a toothpick, cover a stray layer of dust covering the radiator’s honeycomb and remove the debris.
Sell the grid with compressed air or, at worst, mouth. It is better not to use the vacuum cleaner because of the risk of static voltage.
Replace the thermostat
At the same time, since the laptop is dismantled, it is convenient to replace the thermostat. Especially if you’ve never done this in the last 2-3 years or more. Over time, the term interface dries up, the heat drain deteriorates, and the computer overheats. Replacing the thermostat with a fresh one will eliminate this problem.
If the CPU chips and graphics card are visible after the back cover is removed, you can immediately replace them. In other cases, to get to the cooling system, we will have to remove the mother fee.
To do this, turn off all the screws and turn off the plumes. Gently cover the board with a mediator and remove it from the case. You may have to move it first.

Collect your laptop
When everything is ready, collect the details in reverse sequence. Set the motherboard, connect all the trains. Put the cooler in place, but the front panel and keyboard. Install optical drive, hard drive, RAM. Wrap all the screws of the back cover and plug in the battery.
